P.T.M.

over 40 years of success

Founded in 1989 in Castelli Calepio (BG), P.T.M. is a classic and beautiful production reality perfectly inserted in the history and technological panorama of the Po Valley and its industrial history. It has an area of 5,000 m2 covered and 6,000 m2 uncovered. P.T.M., which has in Roberto Pagani its main creator and owner, began with the processing on behalf of third parties of medium-large pieces, mainly for the oil and petrochemical sectors, in particular ball valves, and with the production of components for energy.

An activity, that of P.T.M. that over the years has led to a constant growth in the size of the installed machinery which, started in 1989 with machines of traditional dimensions, has grown numerically and dimensionally following the demands that came from the market. Today the sector of greatest commitment for P.T.M., although it has remained firmly within the energy sector, is applied to medium-large pieces. The type of pieces ranges from the valves to components for wind farms, gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors.

Our activity for a quarter of a century in the energy sector as a contractor mainly refers to parts with dimensions ranging between diameters between 600 and 8,000 mm. As a result, weights are also directly related to such important volumes. The materials on which we operate are mainly steels of all kinds (stainless steel, forged, stellite) or alloys such as Inconel. Our task is to perform machining on raw pieces that are supplied to us by our customer. For this reason, over the years we have developed a company in which over thirty people work, and which is equipped with high-level machines and systems. Almost all the production of P.T.M. is destined for foreign end customers. Our export share is mainly destined for Europe, North America, Canada, Japan, and China and covers practically all our production. To confirm this last statement, just take a tour of the two adjacent warehouses that make up the production area of the Bergamo company. The fleet of vertical lathes starts from a minimum diameter of 1,400 mm and reaches 8,000 mm.
